- Nominated for the best paper award at ICCN 2014 , this paper represents the culmination of many years of prior work on OpenCache; a novel technology prototype. Working closely with partners at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, deployments were made on large-scale European testbeds, in this case GÉANT’s OpenFlow Facility (GOFF). Through this work, we were able to demonstrate the efficacy of OpenCache , leading to further academic and industrial interest in the work, e.g. HP (Aruba), and planned commercialisation by Time Critical Networks. We also secured follow-on funding from the FED4FIRE consortium.
