- Demonstrating record efficiency for BiI3 solar cells, the results are independently listed in the “solar cell efficiency tables for emerging inorganic solar cells” in J. Phys.: Energy (2019). The work introduces a new chemical route for the synthesis of BiI3 which leads to single crystal equivalent carrier-lifetimes combine with a new solar cell architecture. The work formed a part of an invited talk at the annual electrochemical society meeting 2019 and the basis of a Royal Society of Chemistry award (E20-9404) to develop Sb-Bi chalcohalides.
