- This monograph is based on long-term ethnographic fieldwork, which involved sixteen months of research in 2008/2009 in the first instance, and was followed by recurrent fieldwork periods lasting until 2014. During this extended period of data collection, the author acquired a wide range of empirical material on the topic of constructions of the future, and produced an output of exceptional ethnographic complexity and analytical depth, one of the first of its kind in social science literature on urban ethnography.
