- Eavesdropping is a major threat to security and reliability in wireless communications. This paper presents secure transmission techniques to address eavesdropping using emerging physical layer security and game theoretic concepts, while complementing conventional cryptographic methods. This collaborative work with Princeton University, USA led to a €900k EU-funded H2020-MSCARISE-2015 project (ATOM, 690750). The project explored the physical layer security techniques, sharing relevant knowledge with universities in Malaysia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Consequently, Dr. Cumanan was invited to write a book chapter on secrecy communications (Physical Layer Security in Wireless Communications, CRC, doi: 10.1201/b15496).
