- The Innovate UK grant (£110k, 2018-2019) enabled developing a prototype product for True Random Number Generator, which was exhibited at 2018 International Security Expo in London and reported in this work. Scientific innovation includes finding a way to utilise multi-level telegraph noise for generating random numbers needed by cyber-security protocols (10 times faster). It opens the way for low cost implementation of encryption and authentication in low power IoT edge units (O. Maynard, CTO, Crypta Labs, Oliver@Cryptalabs.com). The work led to a US patent granted (Attorney-Docket-Number: P34923US1). Crossword Cybersecurity has used the finding for commercial application (J. Holloway, Director, jake.holloway@crosswordcybersecurity.com).
