- This study presented a millisecond precision data synchronisation algorithm which was applied to Neurofeedback training (NFT). Its implementation in a serious game enabled UCSD to conduct improved behaviour, cognition and emotion regulation in children with autism spectrum disorder. [Contact: UCSD] The new NFT paradigm, data architecture and the innovative serious game mechanics herein were key to a €7M EU H2020 project (BEACONING, #687676 £240k to Heriot-Watt) where a focus group in assistive technology led to developments contributing to Hands Free Computing’s ACE product.
