- The Law and Governance of Mining and Minerals, published on 10 December 2020 is the result of research conducted over the whole REF21 period. It required the collection, analysis, categorisation and systematisation of the vast amount of material required to build the disciplinary matrix for the subject and the development of the argument. The ‘matrix’ is a multi-layered framework of normative phenomena occurring at different geographical levels and contexts. It is grounded in the investigation of multiple fields of law (on investment, the environment, human rights) and of the field under research in different jurisdictions.
