- This paper was based on a study of pioneering lean construction techniques which resulted in a doctoral thesis. The contents of the paper also formed the basis of part of a book chapter (Sustainable Construction Technologies: Life Cycle Assessment, Chapter 12: Lean Principles in Construction, Published by Butterworth-Heinemann, 2019. ISBN 978-0-12-811749-1). These research outputs have raised awareness of the feasibility and environmental benefits of lean construction as a tool for sustainable building.
