- I developed techniques that led to the rapid success of the Advanced LIGO instruments and their stable
operation, and which are reported in the paper introduction, especially the implementation of the interferometric transducer, the new methods of beam centreing (using alignment wavefront sensors) and lock acquisition (using DC and RF power signals).
