- This is the first paper to propose a novel approach to record linkage, addressing both issues of missing values in records and privacy preservation of the records simultaneously. It is a main outcome of the ESRC funded Administrative Data Research Centre - Northern Ireland (ADRC-NI), and contributes to the methodology strand of the centre. It has strong impact on research and development of techniques for linking personal records from multiple datasets where privacy and confidentiality of record holders need to be preserved. This kind of privacy-preserving record linkage plays a significant role in administrative and public health data science applications.
