- This co-authored book of around 230 pages deals with a wide range of art and technology projects during the 1960s and explores the recent revival of interest in such projects among universities, museums and corporations. The interdisciplinary study draws on extensive existing scholarship in a number of fields, including art history, Cold War studies, critical military studies, intellectual and cultural history. The book also incorporates substantial archival material from primary research undertaken by Beck, with the support of a Getty Library Grant, at the Getty Research Institute and the archives of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
