- Extensive work was undertaken in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Archives over a period of 7 months in 2013-2015 unearthing original documents from parliamentary discussions in the1920s and beyond to locate the analysis at the inception of modern Turkey. Reading the documents required a knowledge of both the ‘old’ and modern variants of the Turkish language and translating these documents into English required four years of work.
