- This is a long form monograph (280 pages) reports the results of a major, three-year ESRC research project led by the authors. This monograph therefore represents the culmination of complex and sustained scholarship by a relatively large team of researchers. The monograph reports extensive, diverse and highly rigorous analyses of interdisciplinary academic writing informed by multiple methodological perspectives, including corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, and applied linguistics. The study analyses a corpus of nearly 12,000 articles.
