- This paper presents an initial screening of the maximum potential of freshwater and marine species of microalgae. The outputs determined the species that would be cultivated within the FP7 All Gas demonstration project (€11.7M, 1982/2006/EC) and has subsequently been utilised to support the efficacy of anaerobic digestion of marine species in numerous academic papers (e.g Siddique & Wahid, Journal Cleaner Production, 194, 359-357 2018; Hallenbeck et al., Applied Energy, 179, 136-145, 2016; Debowki et al., International Journal of Environmental Research, 11, 243-250, 2017).
