- This paper was the first to demonstrate velocity selective recording of neural signals from a living animal, a proof-of-concept that directly enabled the funding of three major research grants from EPSRC with a total value of £616,645 (EP/P018947/1, EP/P015999/1, and EP/P015875/1). The significance of the demonstration also resulted in a recent invitation for a review paper on this topic in a special issue of Bioelectronic Medicine (Springer Nature).
