- Double-weighted statement
- This single-authored monograph is an interdisciplinary piece of cultural studies scholarship which draws on media, sports, leisure, and theatre history, and is the first full length study of British professional wrestling. It draws on extensive primary archival research that was conducted between 2011 and 2015, using records from 10 national or local archives, supported by the consultation of digital newspaper records and performer autobiographies. In many cases the monograph represents the first time these documents have been used by researchers, offering a unique and detailed summary of a hitherto under-researched cultural form.
