- The novelty of this work is the preparation of the first semitransparent perovskite solar cells with a continuous perovskite film. While before semitransparent perovskite devices were made through a discontinuous perovskite film, in this work uniform, compact and semitransparent perovskite films as thin as 40nm were made through evaporation. The use of charge transport layers with reduced parasitic absorption permitted to increase the average visible transparency without losing in efficiency, obtaining a performance record for this kind of devices. This device architecture, without oxide-based transport layers, simplifies the preparation process making it compatible with building integrated applications.
