- This industrial collaborative research unearthed the elusive mode-of-action of organic-inorganic hybrid polymeric coating system in the field of chemical resistant coatings and received the Innovation Award Prize at the Coatings Science International Conference in 2019 (https://coatings-science.com/awards-2019/). The work also resulted in a prominent magazine article titled ‘Working the classics’ in the European Coatings Magazine (July 2019) covering the key research highlights of this work. The technology has been patented (WO2015165808 and WO2017068015).
