- Piotrowicz was initiator and principal co-editor of this 558-page book, with 56 contributors to 42 chapters, and authored two. He conceived the idea of drawing together cross-disciplinary expertise, aiming to produce coherent analysis of human trafficking in law, criminology, semiotics, political science, gender studies, history and anthropology. Piotrowicz recruited two co-editors with complementary expertise. Every chapter was evaluated by at least two co-editors, and strict parameters negotiated with all contributors through extended assessment of the thematic balance of the book, to avoid overlap and achieve maximum breadth of analysis. The complexity of the collection required four years’ of editorial collaboration.
