- An output from EPSRC funded research (EP/F00558X/1) driving the development of improved machine learning models for music emotion recognition. A cross disciplinary, technology focussed study published in Psychology of Music. Novel methodology, using vocal melody lines and rhythm in development of music emotion recognition algorithms. Cited by research developing music signal processing algorithms (Hsieh et al 2019). Results are first to establish a significant contribution by vocal melody and rhythm to predicted music emotion.
