- This book is based on longitudinal quantitative and qualitative research undertaken with families across Scotland from 2013 to the present day. It places children’s experiences, needs and concerns at the centre of a critical examination of the contemporary policies and political discourses surrounding poverty in childhood. Using research evidence generated across time, the book interrogates how poverty in childhood is conceptualised and operationalised in policy and forges a radical pathway for an alternative future for child poverty policy and practice.
