- This 75,000 word monograph is the product of four years of research on Grazia Deledda. The research effort involved both an in-depth study of Deledda’s life and works, and detailed analyses of several theoretical frameworks. It required extensive archival research in Sardinia, and scrutiny of difficult to obtain primary and secondary sources in numerous Italian and British libraries and institutions. The author conducted close analysis of Deledda’s extensive oeuvre and a detailed comparative analysis of her manuscripts.
