- Double-weighted statement
- The monograph amounts to some 360,000 words and contributes much new thinking on both Normandy and on the nature of power and government in the Middle Ages more generally. The various reviews of the book emphasise its importance. In addition, one section was published as an article (in French) which has not been submitted to the REF for obvious reasons. Two other sections were read as papers at a number of conferences and seminars, one with an offer of stand-alone publication (which was declined). As I could have published a number of additional sections as articles.
