- New Postcolonial British Genres is a monograph of over 82,000 words comprising an introduction, conclusion, and four substantial chapters. This study brings together canonical and critically neglected works to identify and explore four new literary and cinematic genres that have evolved to reflect the changing shape of postcolonial Britain. It draws on a wide range of literary, cinematic, cultural, critical and political sources, presenting a comprehensive and interdisciplinary picture of contemporary British cultural productions and their relationship to the aftermath of empire.
