- Double-weighted statement
- This is a longer-form output (a monograph of approximately 80,000 words), which necessitated sustained research effort in relation to both primary and secondary material. The main critical insight is wide in its intellectual scope, depending on familiarity with both linguistic and literary methods and applying them to the comparison of multiple editions of several literary works. In relation to primary material, this involved sourcing and then close comparative reading of two or more versions of all the relevant texts. In relation to secondary material, it involved identifying and closely reading an extensive range of literary, linguistic and some historical sources.
