- Double-weighted statement
- This book is the first in-depth overview of the growing field of race and production studies. It pulls together what was considered a disparate field through the development of a new analytical framework that combines political economy, sociological and cultural studies approaches to the study of race and media. The research for this book project began with an ESRC post-doctoral fellowship in 2010 including a conference on Race and the Cultural Industries at the University of Leeds, and a visiting fellowship at MIT. The project was completed during a 3-month sabbatical at the end of 2016.
