- This monograph is based on a complex study of a large dataset of UK newspaper reportage of the London July 7th bombings in 2005 and analyses quantitative data to trace media references to, amongst other things, WW2, in the weeks following the attacks. After providing a rigorous quantitative overview, the qualitative analysis offers an original and innovative framework to analyse the discursive construction of cultural mythologies. Its discourse-mythological approach and analysis provides critical insights to show how the myth of the Blitz occurred through numerous and oppositional ideological contexts.
