- Additional information
- Several groups have worked on linking UML diagrams with formal methods. This is the first work to introduce refinement for UML diagrams underpinned by formal verification in Event-B. The development of UML-B led to us being invited to participate in the Enable-S3 H2020 project, where we worked closely with Airbus and Thales. UML-B is supported by a robust open source toolset developed by the Southampton team which is being used in industry (Airbus, AWE, Deutsche Bahn, Sandia Labs, Thales Austria). UML-B formed the basis of the CODA toolset whose development was funded by AWE and tailors UML-B for hardware/software co-design.
