- This book proceeds from the manuscript of Dreyfus’s Habilitation. It is the result of 8 years of research and provides a new view on post-Holocaust and post-deportation politics in France and in Germany, focusing on diplomats and diplomatic negotiations. Most of the topics the book covers have never been described (such as the International tracing service in Arolsen, the Search mission for corpses of deportees, the role of diplomats in the German reparation process, The tripartite mission on looted gold, etc. The book was favourably reviewed in mainstream newspapers in France (Le Monde, Le Figaro).
