- This paper introducing a new method and scientific measurement instrument based on probe microscopy and Integrating nano-scale magnetic actuators to improve the stability and resolution by an order of magnitude was granted a US Patent in 2017 (#9,645,144). Proof-of-concept funding (€15k) was acquired from ACT-VC (a VC company in Istanbul) for its commercialisation. H Torun delivered an invited lecture on “scanning probe methods” describing the fundamentals, at Cost Action e-Minds training school, 2017, Germany. The system was adopted by biomolecular scientists and has been used for experiments, the results of which were published in ACS Biomater. Sci. Eng., 2017.
