- Double-weighted statement
- Losing Her Voice is a 100-minute opera in 2 acts. Kelly wrote both the music and the libretto, and led a 21-month collaboration with mixed-reality (MR) researchers to develop a web-based app that enables audience interaction with the opera. The output is founded upon original archival materials across multiple historical media (texts, audio, film), consulted during 3 research trips to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. over a 2-year period. The author also convened two interdisciplinary workshops to shape the composition's development.
