- The paper gives a complete classification of moving shapes on a generally non-smooth and holey 2D surface embedded in a space of any dimension. The surface, the shape and its dynamic are all described in terms of equations and inequalities with real analytic functions (e.g., polynomials). The classification can be described geometrically and in terms of lexicographically monotone Boolean functions. Apart from possible applications in computer graphics, the results of the paper lead to establishing new qualitative properties of homology groups on sub-analytic sets and their model-theoretic generalisations.
