- This research produced a new beamforming network which is cheaper to manufacture and exhibits much higher efficiency than current antenna technology for mm Wave 5G networks. The commercial potential of the solution was so attractive, when presented at the Mobile World Congress 2019, that it won the grand prize for the mobile world Scholar award (https://2019.mwcbarcelona.com/experiences/next-gen-innovation/mobile-world-scholar-challenge/ ).
