- This output is the published version of Jones’ doctoral studies, which, by definition, represents a sustained period of research and production. The c. pp. 180 monograph is substantial, applies spatial theory to a genre of film whose grand scope appropriately lends itself to such inquiry. The five varieties of space discussed in the monograph present foci for an extended and complex piece of research, and the range of films investigated reflects the collection and analysis of a large body of material.
