- This monograph is the culmination of a four-year research project and as such represents an ‘extended’ and ‘complex piece of research’. It is based on a mixed-method approach of elite interviews and meticulous documentary analysis, thereby meeting the requirements for the ‘collection and analysis of a large body of material’ and the ‘use of primary sources which were extended, complex or difficult to access’. In its theoretical sophistication and analytical rigour it presents original ‘critical insight and argument’ which contribute to the fields of both party funding and corruption studies.
