- Described a branch and price algorithm and an ejection chain method, both incorporating a dynamic programming method for nurse rostering problems. The work has been applied to diverse and challenging real world applications drawn from industrial and international collaborators (including ORTEC and SINTEF). The developed software is freely available for download at the website of Staff Roster Solutions Limited (http://www.staffrostersolutions.com), a spin-out company formed by the University of Nottingham to commercially license and develop its research on rostering algorithms. The paper is in the top 10% of cited papers published in 2014 in Computer Science (Clarivate Essential Science Indicators).
