- Double-weighted statement
- This monograph is a longer-form output which required sustained research effort over a period of ten years. The book draws on rare archival sources held in California and London which were difficult to access and required extended periods of site-based analysis. These included original hardcopy newspaper collections, colonial records and publications, town council minutes, and records of interviews with Nigerian civil servants in the 1960s. The monograph generates an extended and complex argument that deploys multi-disciplinary expertise including in legal theory, history and literary study.
