- This monograph is the culmination of decade long campaign of research undertaken by the author. The substantial (632 page) monograph presents a detailed account of the excavation of a Pictish burial and Norse settlement in Na h-Eileanan Siar (Western Isles), Scotland and the subsequent research findings. The author co-directed excavation and coordinated post-excavational analysis undertaken by an integrated team of archaeological scientists. The author contributed to the descriptive, synthetic and discursive elements of the excavation in the published volume as well as leading on the research associated with human:animal interactions.
