- This paper deals with the first reported evaluation of a new antihypertensive compound using 3D models. This paper is significant because the authors discovered that the pharmacological performance and improvement in pharmacokinetic profile makes the compound a candidate for clinical studies as an antihypertensive agent with specificity towards L-type Calcium channels. This novel discovery has potential benefit in the pharmaceutical industry as a basis for lead compounds for treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This paper has been deposited with the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre. The experiments are based on open access data-sets which can be repeated and verified by other researchers.
