- The work contributed to an IEC working group (TC 10 PT63025) which is establishing a new international standard 'Quantitative determination of methanol and other light alcohols in insulating liquids' [Contact: Gordon.Wilson@nationalgrid.com]. It also contributed to a CIGRE working group (JWG A2-D1.46) 'Field experience with transformer solid insulation ageing markers' [Contact: jalbert.jocelyn@ireq.ca]. The work resulted in the award of The John Neal Award 2018 by the European Electrical Insulation Manufacturers. It has helped multiple UK industrial labs to use Methanol for assessing the health status of power transformers. [Contact: Pascal.Mavrommatis@eatechnology.com].
