- A research outcome of an industrially funded project by Saudi Aramco (Project no. 6000074197), Engin-X beamtime funding (experiment number RB1510238), and international collaborations with Alfaisal (KSA), STFC (UK), and Heriot-Watt (UK). This novel research used a neutron diffraction technique for robust measurement of residual strain measurement of energy related materials. The project led to US Patent (US10,661,736 B2) and featured a webinar invitation by EPSRC NetworkPlus in Digitalised Surface Manufacturing to deliver training on residual stress measurement methodologies in coatings.
