- This is a research monograph of 267 pages. It was the first book-length academic study of British teen TV researched and written over a 4 year period (including two terms of internally-funded research leave). The study evaluated selected recent programmes (10 in extensive detail), critiquing existing approaches in television studies, taking account of economic and institutional contexts including four TV channels' youth-oriented brands, and “new” contexts of non-linear viewing and interaction through social media among contemporary youth audiences.
