- The monograph is a major study of the evolution of identity debates in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus over the post-Soviet period, and their impact on foreign policies of these states. It is based on in-depth analysis of an exceptionally large body of material in three foreign languages (Belarusian, Russian, and Ukrainian), ranging from party manifestoes; public statements by and interviews with prominent public figures, officials, and state leaders; official documents; to national representative surveys, interviews and focus groups over a 20-year period.
