- This is a major result demonstrating the limits of our state of the art fabrication system. We discuss the design process used to meet a given specification and the fabrication challenges and propose and demonstrate solutions to meet these challenges. A particular application for this is for suppression of specific spectral lines such as OH emission lines in the near infrared (NIR) which degrade ground based astronomical imaging and the work has led to discussion with the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics who can apply the work in new instruments they are developing.
