- This substantial single authored monograph is based on extensive data collection and comparative analysis carried out by Sitkin over 4 years. This output outlines findings from detailed in-depth research on immigration policy in the UK, Australia, the USA, Germany, Italy and Sweden and comparative investigation of the characteristics of immigrant communities, the position of immigrants in different labour markets and methods of immigration control across 20 high-income countries. It incorporates depth as well as breadth through a comparative analysis of immigration admissions, citizenship, internal immigration controls, labour market regulation, the welfare state and criminal justice in the various policy regimes.
