- Naming Violence is the result of Thaler's 4-year Marie Curie Career Integration Grant (2013-2017), which summarises the complex findings of his research into political violence. The book approaches the topic from an interdisciplinary perspective, bringing into conversation political theory, history and philosophy. The book's scope and scale can be gauged from the fact that it contains two chapters, which are extensions of peer-reviewed articles published in the British Journal of Political Science and Contemporary Political Theory.
