- Double-weighted statement
- Firstly, this output can be regarded as demonstrative of a sustained research effort as a book length monograph on a specific critical question. Secondly, the project required extensive use of the multi-volume German critical edition of the Bonhoeffer corpus, as well as a concerted use of the more obscure German critical edition of Wilhelm Dilthey. It investigates its theme with considerable depth, applying an original application of late 19th Century German philosophy to a well-recognised cluster of issues in Bonhoeffer interpretation, with creative outcomes for contemporary systematic theology more broadly.
