- The novel dynamic model created by mesh-free method to simulate composite machining led to a successful Institutional Links grant awarded by the British Council and in partnership with Alexandria University, Egypt (A Prof. Ahmed Hassanin, ahassan@ncsu.edu, Grant no. 352360451Shyha EGY, total project budget: £296k). The model and outcomes also led to a collaborative work with Birmingham University (Dr Khamis Essa, K.E.A.Essa@bham.ac.uk) to write a book chapter on modelling of composite machining in Advances in Machining of Composite Materials: Conventional and Nonconventional Processes.
