- This paper proposes a Multiple Attribute Decision Making based optimal datalink selection algorithm for multi-homed multilink aeronautical network. This paper is significant as it is the first paper that considers security, QoS, costs along with end user/operator preferences and it also proposed an intelligent TRigger-based aUtomatic Subjective weighTing (i-TRUST) method computing subjective weights necessary to provide user flexibility. This work resulted from an Innovate UK funded SINCBAC project. The under-pinning research later led to further Innovate UK funding for the HARNET project. The achievements of these projects led the research team to win the University’s Vice Chancellors Excellent Achievement Award.
