- The monograph explores embodied experiences of UK migrant women, using creative participatory research (PAR) methodologies. This methodological approach generates new, critical insights into less tangible, sensorial and ‘embodied’ knowledge production, which conventional qualitative and quantitative research do not capture. Based on Fundamental Rights Agency funded research, 2010-12, the monograph develops a longitudinal analysis of an epistemological framework for embodied research in practice. This differs from related research in the field typically occurring over shorter time periods. The monograph reflects the UoA’s united approach to impact, embracing co-production to build longstanding community relationships, empowering research participants throughout research processes and beyond.
